Holger Jung
Founder and member of the Supervisory Board at Jung von MattProfessor Holger Jung, born 1 December 1953 in Hamburg, is the founder of Jung von Matt and a member of its Supervisory Board. Jung studied law for six semesters in Hamburg/Munich and in 1977 started his career in media planning and strategy at Lintas, also in his home city. After stints with Unilever, Scholz & Friends and Springer & Jacoby, he and Jean-Remy von Matt founded the Jung von Matt agency in 1991 .
Jung von Matt is the most successful agency group in the German-speaking world in terms of both creativity and efficiency. The agency offers its clients creative and efficient marketing communications across all channels and disciplines. 34 years after being founded, Jung von Matt operates as a privately held joint-stock company and now has agencies in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, UK, USA, Korea and China. Their customers include Adidas, Bosch, BMW, BVG, EDEKA, Hyundai, MINI, Opel and Sixt .
Holger Jung is one of the leading figures in advertising known for his highly strategic approach to consulting and his passion for creative communication solutions. Under his leadership, Jung von Matt became one of the most internationally recognised creative agencies. In 2002, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of German Advertising with Matt. Jung was president of the GWA (General Association of Communications Agencies) from 2002 to 2008 and professor of Marketing Communications at the University of Applied Sciences in Wismar from 2003 to 2019. In 2012, he was appointed honorary consul of the Principality of Monaco.
