“The transformation of the energy system poses major challenges for infrastructure, the energy market and security of supply. The composition of the power plant portfolio in 2030 will look fundamentally different. Analyses of the current supply situation, assessments of consumption trends and the presentation of different scenarios are just a few of the areas of focus. Moreover, new technologies have developed, new market players have emerged, and electricity generation is becoming increasingly decentralised. This is accompanied by major challenges and opportunities for the energy market, which make it necessary to redesign framework conditions. E-Control is actively collaborating on the redesign and is highly committed to tackling new tasks.”
